Raiz Pendant Small

Developed in partnership with respected London design practice Studioilse, the Raiz floor lamp features a handmade, cone-shaped ceramic shade with a glazed inside that creates a warm and gentle light. To contrast the solid nature of the clay, Studioilse added handwoven details crafted from the fibres of the Iraca palm. A textile cable connects the fixture with the eclectic outlet, complementing the organic quality of the design.

Made in a ceramics workshop in Tolima, Colombia ¨C a province with a 300-year history of pottery making ¨C the shades are handmade from local black clay using a process that takes several weeks and includes firing the pieces in a wood-fired kiln at low temperatures. The lamp's woven detailing is made in the Departamento Nari?o in South West Colombia, where there is a long tradition of Iraca weaving.

Warm and tactile, the Raiz creates a calming and cosy ambience.
